I thought the Great Artist’s went great this year and that our artist was a good choice. At first I wasn’t enthusiastic about Sister Corita Kent, but after we started I thought she was a good choice. We started by sketching and planning, and after spring break, we started. We thought of assigning everyone two letters to paint on paper canvas to spell out “SISTER CORITA KENT” The final product was great and everyone finished their letters before the due date. Another idea was to make posters with bright colors and put inspiring words on them such as, hope, enjoy, create, and/or shine. We got 9 of those on poster board and covered one of the walls with it. Our next idea was to take pictures of ourselves, turn them black and white, and then blow them up and paste them to old doors. After we did that we colored certain areas in with tissue paper. That was ok not bad but not fantastic in my opinion. Then we had a phrase book in which everyone contributed a phrase and they were pasted on the wall. After that we had our personal projects, which we created anything of our choice as long as it was related and appropriate. Those were all the projects we had for our great artist’s not including prep and setup. I thought all went well and it turned out great.
