pH Testing
In seventh grade we experimented with our new pH probes to find out if certain substances were acidic or basic. What we did was take the probe and insert an attachment of it into the substance, and it would tell us on a scale from 1-14 how acidic or basic it is, 1 being very acidic and 14 being very basic and any number around 7 would be a neutral. Some times the probe wouldn’t be 100% accurate, for example, when I tested Hydrochloric Acid I got .79. This is inaccurate because that would mean that it would burn through the table. I really liked this experiment because we got to take advantage of technology and we had a lot of fun.
