For this science period project I chose to do Jurassic because of always hearing about Jurassic Park. I wanted to learn more about it and what it was actually like. We had to have something to show or a main piece basically and I was really excited. I remembered Trevor’s Replica of NMY and “borrowed” that idea. I made a few of the dinosaurs from the period and made them in Minecraft and also made the scale. I basically showed the animal and talked about it and read what I wrote about.

In a lot of my feedback people said that it was distracting actually reading the Textedit in front of everyone and I hate to say it but I completely agree. The reason why was because I didn’t actually practice showing it to anyone or presenting it and halfway I realized that it was annoying. I didn’t want to miss any information so I decided to continue with reading off the Textedit. Some people thought that I copy pasted it and I would just like to say that is not the case. I was disappointed that people thought that because I worked really hard on that and I guess that’s what I get for reading it off word for word.

Other then that the process was really fun I had to blow up a lot of space to make room for the dinosaurs and then actually build the dinosaurs. It was fascinating reading about them especially the sizes. Although I do wish I used more sources. I learned a lot from this project. Now I actually now what it means when someone says Jurassic. I think the most valuable feedback I got was about the reading off the paper. I made sure I didn’t make the same mistake in our Humanities presentation. I ended up feeling much more confident when I was presenting and it felt less stressful.

The formal presentation was nice I kind of wished I got more questions but other then that it really didn’t make a difference for me. It felt the same as all the presentation’s I’ve done before. I’ve been getting more confident in each of my presentation’s and I realized It’s best when you know all your information and not just read it once or twice.

I liked hearing about everyone else’s period’s especially cause they were all in the same category so I can compare it to mine. I know I didn’t do this either but I wish we had more about the climate and the area. I mentioned once or twice it was very similar to a jungle but I should have talked about it more. All the animals were very interesting from the presentations. I could actually imagine what it was like since we had the models so I really liked that. I also learned a lot more then what I know on the animals I already knew like the Stegosaurus and the “Brontosaurus”  I really enjoyed doing these projects and hope everyone learned something from mine.
